Catherine grew up alongside her twin sister in the small city of Norris, Tennessee. Together they climbed trees, and waded through creeks in search of frogs and fairies. Her love of nature came with her when she moved to Nashville to attend The Art Institute. She graduated with honors, and obtained a Bachelor degree of Fine arts in Media arts and Animation.
She continued into her career, working as a Storyboard Revisionist for Big Idea Entertainment-Dreamworks, and then into freelance; Illustrating a series of children's books written by author Elsa Takaoka. She illustrated for J-Tech Creations on their easy reading children's books, and currently teaches acrylic painting at a cozy downtown studio called The Art Jam. She works late nights in her home studio as a costume seamstress. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with her pet rats, hiking in the woods, and watching Ghibli films. She can never pass up a good cup of coffee.
